It's the Final Countdown

I'm pretty sure this is why I stopped blogging- cheesy blog post titles that resemble song titles, movies or books. But this post title is pretty accurate- it's exactly one week until I leave. This time next week I will be on a plane headed to Dubai and then Cape Town. I can't believe how quickly it snuck up on me. And surprise, surprise- I put the "pro" in "procrastinate". Which means I have nothing packed and I still have some reading to catch up on (oops, sorry Dr. Hicks!)

Today was my last day of my internship and while I cannot be more psyched to go to Cape Town, I have to say I will miss the amazing time I had this summer. But guys, I AM GOING TO AFRICA! I am SO EXCITED! I have been trying to get everything in order for when I get back and jump right into school, but right now I am beginning to mentally plan and prepare for one week from now when I fly for almost 24 hrs and arrive in one of the most beautiful places. I mean, you saw that photo, right?
