Cue the music *dun dun duh duh duh dun, under pressure*
I feel like this past week had been crazy. All of my projects and assignments for work are due soon and I haven't purchased everything for South Africa, not to mention I need to pack for college as well because that starts right when I get back from Cape Town. And on top of all of that, I have to get an updated tetanus shot... In the midst of all the crazy, it's easy to lose sight of all the great things God is doing and only focus on the negatives, but when we start to fall into that pattern, it makes it easier and easier to resort to complaining and finding the faults in situations. I was reading the psalms and one stood out to me. It said "Then I thought, “To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand. I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”(Psalm 77)
Wow, talk about positivity. And the great thing is- it's realistic. Remembering what God has done in the past is like taking a walk through memory lane, where you get to see and think about all the amazing things God has done in your life. When it's hard to see what He's doing in the present, look to the past.
PS. One of our professors sent us this photo from SA at the place we will be staying. Isn't this sunrise GORGEOUS?! 20 days to go!
